A healthy body produces its own enzymes. Enzymes are also found in the food we eat; well-known examples include bromelain from pineapples and papain from papayas. However, enzymes lose their functionality when exposed to high heat during cooking or pasteurization.

Enzymes
Amylase splits sugar molecules from complex carbohydrate compounds and is thus involved in the digestion of carbohydrates such as bread or potatoes.
Bromelain is a protein-splitting enzyme from the pineapple (Ananas comosus, Fam. Bromeliaceae). Due to its structure, it can metabolise fibrin, for example.
Lipase is a natural pancreatic enzyme for fat digestion. It splits free fatty acids from long-chain dietary fats.
Lactase for helping with lactose intolerance:
Lactase is a specific sugar-splitting enzyme. It helps the body to metabolise lactose (milk sugar). 2 capsules of hypo-A Enzyme contain 10,000 FCC units of lactase. For people who have trouble digesting lactose, lactase improves lactose digestion. As there are differences in lactose tolerance, those affected should consult a nutritionist regarding the function of lactase in their diet.
Nattokinase occurs naturally in fermented soya (natto) and - similar to bromelain - can metabolise fibrin structures.
Papain is a natural enzyme from papaya (Carica papaya). Similar to the proteases found in our body, it has the ability to break down proteins.
Another protease contained in hypo-A Enzyme can break down proteins like papain and bromelain.
Plant extracts
Caraway is one of the oldest spices in the world. In 2016 it was voted medicinal plant of the year. Caraway is often used in the kitchen to make flatulent dishes like sauerkraut more digestible.
Dandelion (Taraxacum), whose young leaves can be used in salads or smoothies, has a strong flavour because of the bitter substances it contains.
Streptococcus thermophilus is a natural representative in our digestive tract. The lactic acid bacterium is also used in the fermentation of dairy products (yoghurt, ayran) and in the production of certain types of cheese such as emmentaler or mozzarella.
Yam root extract (Dioscorea opposite thunb) naturally contains diosgenin. From a chemical point of view, diosgenin has a sterane basic structure similar to the luteal hormone progesterone, for example.
