Auch an diesem Green Friday hieß es wieder: raus aus dem Büro, rein in die Gummistiefel! Mit Spaten, Astscheren und viel Motivation machten wir uns gemeinsam mit engagierten Netzwerkpartnern auf den Weg zum Dummersdorfer Ufer, um den Lebensraum seltener Amphibien zu schützen.

Unter fachkundiger Anleitung des Lübecker Landschaftspflegeverein Dummersdorfer Ufer e.V. hoben wir neue Laichmulden aus und entfernten junge Bäume aus einer renaturierten Kiesgrube im Bereich der Travemündung. Beides ist wichtig, damit die stark bedrohten Wechsel- und Kreuzkröten offene, vegetationsarme Flächen behalten, die für ihr Überleben entscheidend sind.

Beim gemeinsamen Grillen auf dem Hof des Landschaftspflegevereins klang der Tag gemütlich aus. Ein erfolgreicher Tag für Natur und Team!

Our commitment to rare toads on the Dummersdorfer Ufer

Last Friday, our team set off in rubber boots and thick jackets to the nearby Dummersdorfer Ufer nature reserve.

The mission? Working together to preserve the habitat for endangered toad species.
The partner? The Dummersdorfer Ufer landscape conservation association has been committed to practical nature conservation and environmental education since 1977.
The result? A trailer full of willow shoots, dirty trousers, red noses, lots of laughter and an intense community experience.
