Small amounts, big impact. Although trace elements make up only a small fraction of our diet, they are vital for our health. As key components of enzymes, zinc, selenium, and manganese help produce important signaling molecules and building blocks, ensuring our metabolism runs smoothly. Zinc leads the way, playing a role in over 300 enzymes—making it exceptionally important.

For all these processes to work together seamlessly, the right blend of relevant micronutrients is essential. That is why we combine four of them in our trace element formula: zinc and selenium for the immune system¹, chromium as a key element for blood sugar levels², and manganese for energy metabolism⁸.

We also benefit from trace elements when it comes to beauty: while zinc acts as an internal beauty treatment that primarily benefits our skin³, our hair⁴ and nails⁵ also thrive on zinc and selenium. Then there is the cell-protective effect⁷ of manganese, selenium, and zinc; together with other antioxidants, they provide visible protection for our (skin-) cells against free radicals. Consequently, our need for these nutrients increases when we spend long periods in the sun, get little sleep, smoke, consume alcohol, take long-haul flights, or experience high levels of stress.

Our trace element combination is also of interest to men wishing to have children. While selenium contributes to normal sperm production⁹, zinc is essential for maintaining normal testosterone levels, DNA synthesis, and cell division.

In formulating our trace elements, we prioritized not only a smart composition and high purity but, above all, excellent tolerability and bioavailability. For instance, we use organic gluconates for zinc and manganese; chromium(III) chloride—which is similar to table salt—for chromium; and selenium yeast for selenium, which (like plants and animals) primarily contains highly bioavailable selenomethionine.
