Tennis

Mona Barthel 

She has won four singles and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour. She competed in teh single competition for Germany at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

Andrea Petkovic

The German tennis player, writer and television presenter has won six WTA singles tournaments in her career. She has also secured nine singles and three doubles titles at ITF tournaments. She was German champion in 2007 and 2009.

Angelique Kerber

The German tennis player has been playing professionally since 2003. Her greatest successes as a singles player to date are victories at the Australian Open and the US Open in 2016 and at Wimbledon in 2018. She also won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. From the beginning of 2012, the Schleswig-Holstein native worked with hypo-A for years and was ranked 3rd in the world during this time. (2016)

Soccer

Schalke 04

From 2004 to 2006, under Mirko Slomka, there was close cooperation between the orthopedic surgeon and sports doctor Dr. Thorsten Rarreck from FC Schalke 04 and our consulting sports and naturopathic doctor Peter-Hansen Volkmann. The result of the cooperation was, among other things, a lower frequency of injuries, injury severity and increased enthusiasm among the players.

VfL Wolfsburg (Women)

From 2011 to 2017, hypo-A sponsored the women's football department of VfL Wolfsburg as a champion partner. Peter-Hansen Volkmann also looked after the women's team as a cooperative sports doctor. In the 2012/13 season, the first team won the triple of German championship, DFB Cup and Champions League.

Sailing

Petra Niemann

She won her first of two German championship titles in 1998 and finished 13th at the Olympic Games in 2000 and 10th in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she won silver at the World Championships in 2006. She finished as 15th at the Olympic Games in China in 2008.

Vivien Schneider (born Kussatz) 

She began her sailing career at the age of 14. In 2002 she became fourth at the European Championships, became European Champion as a crew member in 2006 and 2007 and took the 9th place at the Summer Olympics in 2008.

Julian Massler 

The Finn-Sailor from the Radolfzell Yacht Club sailed to the third place at the Junior European Championships in 2011, shortly afterwards he reached the fifth place in 2011 at the Junior World Championships in Moscow and took the ninth place at the Junior European Championships in 2010.

Schümann-Crew

The Schümann Crew were Vice-World-Champions three times in a row, won the Greek championship title and reached the eighth place at the World Championship in 2008. The sailing crew also took part in 2008 of the Olympic Games in Beijing, where they reached the fourth place.

Snowboard

Hans-Jörg Unterrainer

The former athlete took part in his first snowboard races at the age of 20. In his sporting career he took part in 45 World Cup races and achieved his best placing of the fourth place in Berchtesgaden in 2003. Unterrainer competed his last World Cup race in 2009.
