Samuel Hegge in conversation:

How did you come to hypo-A?

About my father, who is a naturopath. The older I got, the more performance-oriented the sport became. I wanted to be fitter and more efficient and asked my father how I could support my body. He recommended hypo-A to me. This is how the connection was created that still exists today.

When did you know that canoeing was your sport?

My family moved nearby in 2003 from Augsburg, moved to Kissing. The canoe slalom world championships took place there that year and after we watched the competitions, I took a taster lesson with the “Kanu Schwaben Augsburg”. Despite my respect for the water, I immediately enjoyed this sport and stuck with it. After my first national successes, I was able to qualify for the national junior team in 2011. The first international success was the bronze medal at the European Championships in the team competition.

What drives you?

Definitely the passion and fun of sport. The World Cup will take place in Augsburg in 2022. That means home advantage for me. My goal is to have as successful a participation as possible.

Why do you use dietary supplements from hypo-A?

A big factor was and is my recommendation Father, he is a naturopath himself and I trust him 100 percent - he wants the best for me. So hypo-A. There are all sorts of shakes, vitamins and supplements, but nothing offers me the quality that hypo-A has.

How does your body feel when taking Orthomolecularia?

I take nutritional supplements every day as a prophylactic. I feel completely supported and, in addition to a balanced diet, nutritional supplements are an important component of athletic performance. Many factors influence my success and hypo-A is one of them.

Your best fitness tips?

Sleep well, eat well and train holistically. This means intensive training sessions but also intensive regeneration in order to keep the body healthy and not train to pieces. The older you get, the more you understand this.

What sporting goal do you really want to achieve?

For every sport that is an Olympic sport, the Olympic Games are the ultimate goal. But I put the 2022 World Cup in Augsburg on the same level. Taking part in the World Cup at home and being successful at the end is my next big project. I still have three years until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Your motto in life?

Difficult question - but probably alongside ambition and the passion to keep the sport fun. In the end, success comes all by itself.

Quote Wiebke Ivens

"As Noah's older brother, Samuel was able to get a taste of competitive sports a little earlier and gain experience of the extent to which our products can support sports. We are now working with both athletes and are happy to have the brothers on board and to accompany them on their path to success."
