Building and expanding: Itis-Protect® 2 supplements antioxidant support1 with polyunsaturated fatty acids and viable lactic acid bacteria. Additionally, the second phase of the four-part Itis-Protect® micronutrient routine contains the natural compound lycopene as well as high-quality black cumin oil, obtained using a particularly gentle extraction process.
Itis-Protect® 2 also provides vitamins A, B12, D, E and folic acid, along with the minerals potassium, zinc, iodine and molybdenum. Representing natural gut flora, Phase 2 of Itis-Protect® contains the viable bacteria Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus acidophilus.
These nutrients support key physiological functions, including:

Since April 2026, Itis-Protect® is no longer classified as a food for special medical purposes (dietary management of periodontitis) but rather as a dietary supplement that considers the entire body, extending beyond just the periodontal apparatus.
What remains the same? The composition of the products and the proven approach focusing on the immune system1, antioxidant nutrition2 and cell protection2. With its four-phase approach, Itis-Protect® supplies the body over a period of four months with a wide range of essential vitamins, trace elements and minerals, combined with viable cultures. It also includes omega fatty acids from fish oil and black cumin oil, as well as vitamin D—nutrients that the body can only produce in limited quantities on its own.
Alongside hypo-A-Darmpflege, Itis-Protect® is our second nutrient system in which each phase carefully builds upon the previous one—creating a sensible, simple micronutrient routine.
