Natalie Zimmermann in conversation:
How did you come to hypo-A?
Through the recommendation of a patient whose daughter is a competitive athlete. I had extreme knee problems myself at the time, had been undergoing treatment for a long time and no one was able to get my problems under control. I couldn't walk properly, let alone kickbox. After the first treatment at Peter-Hansen Volkmann, my symptoms went away immediately! That was also the absolute game changer for me. I changed my entire way of life. We've been working together ever since.
When did you know that boxing was your sport?
Basically, I'm a passionate martial artist. It started with Taekwondo, continued with kickboxing and occasionally boxing. Now at 38 years old as a professional boxer. I wanted to become a world champion during my kickboxing days. After becoming runner-up in the world championship, the thought arose: continue kickboxing or should I take the step into professional boxing? Then came Corona. There were no more kickboxing fights, but there were in boxing. So life made the decision for me and I chose professional boxing. As of now: From seven I won seven competitions, two of which were by knockout.
What drives you?
I love developing myself. For me, martial arts means pure personal and sporting development. I want to know if I can push my own boundaries to make the impossible possible. I have a strong opponent in Katie Taylor as the reigning world champion in my weight class and if I want to become world champion, everything has to be right - the mindset, the people around me, nutrition, sleep. I'm ready to give everything to be world champion in one or two years.
Why do you rely on nutritional supplements from hypo-A?
There are so many supplements on the market. I just trust Hypo-A. Also due to the pure substances in premium quality. It also gives me a good feeling that I know Peter-Hansen Volkmann personally as a medical advisor. This is tangible for me and I feel holistically cared for.How do you physically feel when taking orthomolecular drugs?
I take them Micronutrients for a really long time. I feel bad without it. Nutrition is no longer what it used to be and I need to support my body. At first I had to get used to the amount of capsules. Now for me it's like brushing my teeth - it's part of my everyday life.
Your best fitness tips?
Get enough sleep and spend less time on your cell phone – reduce social media etc. Surround yourself with good people who give you energy and don't take it away. Then comes organic nutrition and supplements. And of course feel happiness, love and joy in what you do. I wouldn't be so obsessed if I didn't love what I do.
What sporting goal do you really want to achieve?
World champion become! But I also have to admit that it's not just the World Cup, but also the path to it. There are so many adjustments in sport and I want to develop athletically and personally in all areas in order to be able to develop my full potential.
Your life motto?
Train hard, fight easy! Better to torture now than in the ring. I push myself to my limit in every training session. It's the sum that matters in the end.

Quote Wiebke Ivens
"Natalie came to us a few years ago as a kickboxer. Like almost all of our athletes, Natalie came to our attention because of her own physical problems, which my father, as a doctor, was able to treat well. Kickboxing was very important to us back then stranger, through Natalie we got to know and appreciate this sport. Switching to professional boxing was another big step - for us too. The development that Natalie is going through is incredible and absolutely admirable. We are very happy that we can accompany her on this exciting path and keep her fingers crossed for her big goal of becoming world champion in boxing."
