ODS 1

The core of ODS 1 is a 3-way symbiosis featuring lactic acid bacteria, zinc, folic acid and vitamins B12 and D3. Each capsule contains one billion (10⁹) viable Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus acidophilus organisms.

We are familiar with lactic acid bacteria from the production of yogurt, cheese, fermented white cabbage and other fermented foods. They break down carbohydrates and produce lactic acid. The number of these welcome guests thriving in our gut depends heavily on our diet.

ODS 1 is rounded out by vitamins, minerals and trace elements that perform important roles in metabolism and digestion. While zinc, as a component of many enzymes, plays a major role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, fatty acids, etc.², calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes¹. Also included are nutrients for the nerves³ and muscles⁴ such as vitamins B12 and D which are ultimately relevant to gut motility.

Tip: ODS 1K and ODS 1A are available for an even broader nutrient intake. Both provide potassium and iodine; ODS 1A additionally offers vitamin A⁵, which supports the mucous membranes.
