The "3-Symbiosis" combination of symbionts and nutrients found in ODS 1K provides zinc, folic acid, vitamins B12 and D3, the dietary fiber inulin, and one billion viable Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis bacteria each. Both species are typical representatives of natural gut flora but are also used in the production of yogurt and cheese. How well these lactic acid bacteria which are warmly welcomed in the gut thrive depends heavily on our diet.
ODS 1K is typically used following REHA 1 as the second phase of orthomolecular gut care according to Peter-Hansen Volkmann. It combines valuable micronutrients such as zinc which plays a role in metabolism1 as a component of many enzymes and vitamins B12 and D3, which are relevant to gut motility as nutrients for nerves2 and muscles3. Additionally, as well-known immune nutrients4, vitamin D3 and zinc benefit the many immune cells located in the gut.
Tip: Thanks to its Vitamin AE + Lycopene content, ODS 1A additionally nourishes the mucous membranes5 including those in the gut with vitamin A.
1 Zinc contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism, normal acid-base metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, vitamin A metabolism, as well as normal protein synthesis and normal fatty acid metabolism.
2 Vitamin B12 and magnesium contribute to normal nervous system function. Calcium contributes to normal signal transmission between nerve cells.
3 Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
4 Folate, vitamin B12, vitamin D, and zinc contribute to normal immune system function.
5 Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.
